DIGITAL ENHANCED CORDLESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS/GLOBAL SYSTEM FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS (DECT/GSM); INTEGRATION BASED ON DUEL-MODE TERMINALS
Hardcopy , PDF
English
To investigate radio and network aspects and clarifying the possibilities as well as the problems related to duel-mode terminals. This TR will describe how existing DECT and GSM standards and TBRs can form the basis for the first edition of TBR 39, i.e basic duel-mode terminals that only consist of a DECT part and a GSM part and that may automatically switch between DECT and GSM modes. (Advanced duel-mode terminals. where the DECT and GSM parts are further integrated, will be considered in another TR (DTR/DECT-010096). The same considerations apply for duel-mode DECT/DCS1800 terminals and for DECT/GSM/DCS1800 duel-mode/duel band terminals.
