Presents Bellcore's preliminary view of the basic security features that should be provided by all Operations Systems, i.e., software systems that are used by Bellcore's Client Companies to support their business operations and switching network. In addition to addressing security features, this document also provides requirements on Operations System's vendors to develop, document, package and maintain their product in a fashion that will not denigrate the security features.
