Defines requirements for manufacturers of Fluid System Components to be accredited by the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP). This accreditation is awarded according to SAE AS7003 following demonstration of compliance with the enclosed requirements. Purpose is for assessment of a supplier's ability to provide consistently a product or service conforming to the technical specifications and customer requirements. Also structures corresponding audit criteria in order to obtain relevant information for management practices directly or indirectly affecting the product or service. This information will be used to determine the accreditation status, and could be used by the supplier to bring about improvements in the product/service or associated processes.
