Diese Europäische Norm gilt für die Beschreibung der aerodynamischen Belastung von Zügen durch Seitenwinde. Ferner gilt sie für die aerodynamische Belastung durch: - die Vorbeifahrt eines Zuges an einer festen oder provisorischen Konstruktion; - die Vorbeifahrt eines Zuges an einer am Gleis stehenden Person; - die Begegnung zweier Züge. Die Norm gilt für Konstruktionen beliebiger Länge im Freien und für geschlossene Konstruktionen von weniger als 20 m Länge, die Gleise umhüllen. Bei geschlossenen Konstruktionen, die Gleise umhüllen und deren Länge 20 Meter übersteigt, sind die aerodynamischen Phänomene mit denen in einem Tunnel vergleichbar.
