Diese ÖNORM beinhaltet Bestimmungen für die Planung, Ausführung und Prüfung von Entwässerungsanlagen innerhalb von Gebäuden (siehe Anwendungsbereich 1 gemäss Bild 1), die unter Schwerkraft betrieben werden. Sie enthält ergänzende Bestimmungen zu den ÖNORMEN EN 12050 (alle Teile) sowie EN 12056 (alle Teile). Entwässerungsanlagen, die gemäss Bild 1 dem Anwendungsbereich 2 'ausserhalb von Gebäuden' zugeordnet sind (z. B. Anschlussleitungen ausserhalb des Gebäudes bis zur Kanalanlage, erforderliche Putzschächte ausserhalb von Gebäuden) werden gemäss ÖNORM B 2503 in Verbindung mit ÖNORM EN 1610 und unter Berücksichtigung der ÖNORM EN 752 ausgeführt.
