Covers technical manual content requirements for preparation of aircraft engine intermediate and depot maintenance instructions in work package format for uninstalled reciprocating and gas turbine engines, including turboshaft and turboprop. Also covered are requirements for an intermediate maintenance manual supplement for the positioning, installation and identification of external cabling, tubing, clamping and attaching hardware and a Sequence Control Chart that graphically depicts accomplishment of complete engine repair. An illustrated parts breakdown shall be included when specified by the requiring activity.

This specification covers technical manual content requirements for preparation of aircraft engine intermediate and depot maintenance instructions in work package (WP) format for uninstalled reciprocating and gas turbine engines, including turboprop and turboshaft. This specification also covers requirements for an intermediate maintenance manual supplement for the installation, positioning, and identification of external tubing, cabling, clamping and attaching hardware and a Sequence Control Chart (SCC) that graphically depicts accomplishment of complete engine repair. When specified by the requiring activity, an Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) shall be included.
