Es werden die beiden Arten von Zeichenlinealen behandelt, die für berufliche Anwendung in Frage kommen, entweder handgeführt oder in Verbindung mit manuell bedienten Zeichenmaschinen. Zeichenlineale als Schulbedarf sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.
