Applies to basic covered electrodes which are suitable for the joint welding of fine-grained structural steels suitable for welding and whose minimum yield point is > 355 N/mm2. For covered electrodes for welding fine-grained structural steels with a minimum yield point of 355 N/mm2, DIN 1913 Part 1 also applies. The properties of the normalized steels are defined in Stahl-Eisen Werkstoffblatt (Iron-steel material sheet) 089.
