Important note : All end users must be registered with an Account prior to user licenses being assigned.This Standard is included in DIN Handbook 11-2. Deals with gauges for use in checking general purpose knuckle threads with the thread profiles and nominal sizes detailed in DIN 405-1 and subject to the tolerances given in DIN 405-2. It gives a gauging system in conformity with the Taylor principle for checking external and internal threads. It is recognized that other forms of checking may be used. Checking by means of the gauges given in this standard is, however, always decisive. This gauging system is not suitable for checking threads in components that are made from thermosetting plastics.
