Bibliography
Specifies recommendations, requirements and guidelines for systematically measuring, assessing and evaluating quality of software products during acquisition of custom and off-the-shelf software products, or modifications to existing products. Employs the model defined in ISO/IEC 9126-1, and expands on the process for evaluation of quality as described in ISO/IEC 14598-1 and uses the acquisition process in ISO/IEC 12207. May be used alongside ISO/IEC 12119, ISO/IEC 14598-2(new), 14598-3(new), and 14598-6. The evaluation process is similar between ISO/IEC 14598 and 14598-5, but the context of use is different. Also applies to CASE tools.
