Defines the method for preparation of detail specifications for power transformers for release under the conditions of IEC 1248-1 (QC 260000) capability approval, including a blank detail specification (BDS) showing the format and indicating appropriate tests for this component type. The final selecting of tests for inclusion in the inspection schedule is decided by the specification writer. In addition appropriate ratings and characteristics are listed. Components described are essentially concerned with maximum transfer of power at single frequency with an essentially symmetrical waveform.
