Classification for air permeability for doors in a closed position, when tested in accordance with EN 12427 are defined in this standard. The doors may be manually or power operated and are intended for installation in areas in the reach of people. The main intended uses are giving safe access for goods, vehicles and persons in commercial, industrial or residential premises. Th This document is applicable to all doors provided in accordance with prEN 13241:1998. Exclusions: doors on lifts; vehicle doors; armoured doors; lock and dock gates; doors mainly for retention of animals; revolving doors of any size; railway barriers; doors outside the reach of people (crane gantry fences); barriers used solely for vehicles; theatre textile curtains; horizontally moving doors less than 2,5 m wide and 6,25 m2 area for pedestrian.
