Specifies the services of the Common Application Service Element for commitment, concurrency, and recovery control and can be referenced by an application standard when the functionality of the commitment, concurrency, and recovery protocol is required. Applies only to a single distributed application whose operation is specified by the application standard referencing this part of ISO 8649. Its use to coordinate different forms of activity always requires the existence of such an application standard.
