This Standard sets out requirements and recommendations for the safe storage and handling of dangerous goods and articles of Class 9 (i.e. miscellaneous dangerous goods and articles), as classified by the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods—Model Regulations, and listed in the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG Code)/NZS 5433. It covers these goods in packages, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and bulk.NOTE: A current list of Class 9 dangerous goods, taken from the 11th revised edition of the UN recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods—Model Regulations, is given in Appendix A of this Standard.In New Zealand, this Standard covers dangerous goods and articles of Class 9, which may differ from Class 9 as defined by HSNO legislation.
