Provides requirements and recommendations for the storage and handling of mixed classes of dangerous goods, in packages and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), of Classes 1.4S, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8 and 9 and aerosols, when two or more classes are kept in the same store. Recommendations for the segregation of dangerous goods within the store, and safe separation distances to protected places, boundaries and ignition sources are given. Precautions for the handling of dangerous goods and outlines of fire protection requirements and clean-up procedures are also provided.

This Standard sets out requirements and recommendations for the safe storage and handling of dangerous goods (i.e. substances that are classified as dangerous goods in the UN Recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods and listed in theAustralian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG Code)/NZS 5433, in packages and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) of up to 1.5 m3capacity, where more than one class of dangerous goods are kept.NOTE: An outline of the classes of dangerous goods is given in Appendix A.
