This standard applies to mains-operated electric fence energizers which are not designed for connection to other sources of energy.Requirements for battery-operated electric fence energizers suitable for connection to the supply mains, for example those incorporating batteries and facilities for charging these batteries from the supply mains, are given in IEC Publication 1011-1.Requirements for battery-operated electric fence energizers not suitable for connection to the supply mains are given in IEC Publication 1011-2.
