This standard sets out methods for determining the dimensional changes of textile fabrics and garments during the laundering process.The methods provide for-(a) ten washing procedures based on the use of a horizontal drum, front-loading type of machine; and (b) nine washing procedures based on the use of a top-loading, agitator type of machine.The results obtained with the two types of machine may not be comparable.Each washing procedure represents a single wash. This standard also sets out five drying procedures: A-Line dry. D-Flat press.B-Drip dry. E-Tumble dry. C-Flat dry.
