This standard sets out requirements for the regular maintenance of fire door installations complying with AS 1905, Part 1, and fire doors that complied, at the time of installation, with the contemporary standard, e.g. AS CA57.NOTE: For fire doors installed before AS CA57 was applicable the Regulatory Authority may prescribe such inspections, tests and corrective actions as are required. This standard also includes precautions to be taken when, for the purpose of the inspections as specified in this standard, installations are to be rendered inoperative and/or incapable of sustaining the prescribed fire resistance rating. This standard does not apply to fire shutters as specified in AS 1905, Part 2.
