Section 8 - Calculation
Primarily in certain aggregates, some water-soluble chlorides, do not induce corrosion of embedded reinforcing steel since these chlorides are bound within the aggregate. Test methods currently available cannot distinguish between water-soluble chlorides that support corrosion and those that do not. Sampling and analysis of hydraulic-cement mortar, concrete of aggregate for chloride which is water-soluble that contributes to the corrosion of reinforcing steel is provided in this test method.
