This Commercial Item Description (CID) specifies the Performance, Function,
Design, and Environmental requirements for a Pneumatic Deadweight Pressure Standard
(PDPS). The PDPS is primarily intended to calibrate pressure transfer standards and other
pressure measuring devices using gas as the pressure medium. The item fills requirements
currently addressed by an existing deadweight pressure standard. This PDPS will be the Air
Force Primary Pressure Standard for gas pressure 1 pound per square inch (psi) to 1000 psi.
