Meteorological measurements designed for the purpose of air pollution control are necessary for assessing both emission and ambient air pollution processes, and are therefore carried out for air quality monitoring (German Federal Immission Safety Act – BImSchG; 4th Federal Immission Safe-ty Administrative Regulation – 4th BImSchVwV).
