La norma stabilisce i principi generali per l'esecuzione di pali con spostamento del terreno, vale a dire pali installati nel terreno senza scavo o rimozione di materiale dal terreno stesso tranne che per limitare rigonfiamenti e/o vibrazioni, nonché per la rimozione di ostruzioni o per assistere la penetrazione.
