This Standard specifies the performance requirements and location for a key-locked starting system or other equivalent means of obviating unauthorized starting of earth-moving machinery. It applies to all types of earth-moving machinery as defined in JIS A 8308. This Standard is not intended to provide protection to the authorized machine operator, nor to protect the machine against abuse, destructive vandalism, or theft.
