Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen und die Temperatur-Widerstandsbeziehung für industrielle Platin-Widerstands-Temperatursensoren - nachfolgend als "Platin-Widerstand" oder "Messwiderstand" bezeichnet - und industrielle Platin-Widerstandsthermometer - nachfolgend als "Thermometer" bezeichnet - fest, deren elektrischer Widerstand eine definierte Funktion der Temperatur ist.
