This standard is included in DIN Handbook 15 and 405. Gives the general requirements for seamless circular tubes and pipes ("tubes") made from a tabulated list of stainless steels. They are used for construction tubing, pipes for pharmaceutical, food and automobile industries, and for domestic installations and decorative purposes. Seamless circular austenitic stainless steel tubes needing special requirements are not covered by this Standard.
