Distributing Multi-User PDF

When you purchase a Multi-User PDF on Intertek Inform, you’re responsible for distributing access to your licensed colleagues. This process ensures every assigned user can securely download their copy.

  1. Log in to “My Orders”
    • After purchase, click the link in your Order Confirmation or access My Orders from your Account Dashboard.
  2. Locate Your Multi-User PDF Order
    • Orders containing Multi-User PDFs display a prompt with the “Add” option for distribution.
  3. Expand Order Details
    • Click to view order details, then select the “Add” button.
  4. Enter User Details
    • For each colleague, provide:
      • First Name
      • Last Name
      • Registered Email Address (must match an existing Intertek Inform account).
  5. Add More or Submit
      • Use “Add user” for multiple recipients.
    1. Click Submit when finished.
  6. Confirm Details
    • Review user entries.
    • Select Submit to confirm or Edit User to adjust.
  7. Success Confirmation
    • A success message appears when distribution is complete.
    • Each assigned user receives their Product Download Link via email.

Contextual Hint: User Accounts Required

Every assigned user must have a registered Intertek Inform account before accessing the PDF. If they don’t, they need to create one first (see Module 1: Creating Your Account).

  • DRM Protected – PDFs comply with publisher copyright rules.
  • User Limits – Licenses available for 3, 5, or 9 users.
  • Device Locking – Each PDF is tied to the user’s first device.
  • Printing – Up to 2 copies per user.
  • Watermarking – Shows purchaser, company, and individual user info.

Scenario: You’ve distributed a Multi-User PDF to 4 colleagues. Sarah reports she can’t access her download link.

Question: What are the two most likely reasons for her issue?

Hint:

  1. Sarah doesn’t yet have a registered Intertek Inform account.
  2. She may be opening the DRM-protected PDF in an unsupported reader (e.g., browser, Mac Preview) or has a GOSP setting issue.

Correct Answer:
Sarah either does not have a registered Intertek Inform account, or she is attempting to open the DRM-protected PDF in an unsupported application (such as a browser/Mac Preview) or is blocked by her GOSP settings.
