Indica le modalità che devono essere seguite affinchè i segati di latifoglie possano ritenersi efficacemente protetti contro i lictidi. Si applica ai segati di tutte le speci di latifoglie riconosciute attaccabili da lictidi (i lictidi attaccano l'alburno di tutte le latifoglie di origine tropicale a durame differenziato e la totalità del legno delle speci a durame non differenziato: ako, fromager, ilomba, kotò, limba, obece e virola).
