Provides uniform procedures for testing Fiber Optic system components for optical communications and data transmission systems. The procedures standardize the method for establishing the light losses and junction efficiency for conformance to individual component requirements. The procedures are applicable for both single fiber and multiple fiber (bundle) devices.
