Purpose of this NATO standardization recommendation is to list recommended practices regarding: a unified approach to the protection and hardening of all NATO military platforms, systems and equipments (hardware) against Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) caused by the plethora of Electromagnetic Environments (EMEs) that these platforms, systems and equipments are subjected to during their deployment life.
