Specifies a method for the determination of the acoustic power radiated into a duct by fans and other aerodynamic sound sources (flaps, throttles, boxes). The source under test shall produce a stationary sound. Test duct diameters may range from 0,15 m to 2 m. Measurements can be carried out with air temperatures between -50 degree C and +70 degree C provided that the flow velocity does not exceed 30 m/s, and the maximum swirl angle is 15 degree.
