Annex B (informative) A-deviation

Gives the criteria for steel butt-welding fittings made from wrought carbon steel - return and elbow bends, dished ends and caps, equal and reducing tees and concentric and eccentric reducers, delivered without specific inspection. Fittings outlined do not satisfy specific design criteria so they cannot be considered as meeting the Essential Requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (Directive 97/23/EC of 29.05.1997). It covers steel grade and chemical composition, mechanical features, dimensions and tolerances, technical conditions for test and inspection, and marking, packaging and inspection documents.
