Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen und/oder Massnahmen zur Beseitigung der Gefährdungen und/oder zur Begrenzung des Risikos fest an Fräsmaschinen für vierseitige Bearbeitung mit einer grösstmöglichen Arbeitsbreite von 350 mm, die bestimmt sind zum Bearbeiten von Massivholz, Spanplatten, Faserplatten oder Sperrholz sowie von diesen Werkstoffen, wenn sie kunststoffbeschichtet oder mit Kantenmaterial versehen sind. Diese Norm behandelt alle Gefährdungen, die für diese Maschinen von Bedeutung sind. Diese Gefährdungen sind in Abschnitt 4 dieser Norm aufgelistet. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Gefährdungen im Zusammenhang mit Beschickungseinrichtungen. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Maschinen zur Bearbeitung von Rundholz, welches nicht vorbearbeitet worden ist. Diese Norm gilt in erster Linie für Maschinen, die nach dem Ausgabedatum dieser Norm hergestellt worden sind.
