Applies to the storage, handling, processing and use of solid or molten lithium. Those materials, including batteries and scrap, that exhibit the reactivity and burning characteristics of lithium metal as specified by the manufacturer are applicable in this standard. Primary production of lithium is not applicable in this standard. Transportation of lithium is not applicable to this standard.
