Defines test procedures and criteria for rational use of energy of domestic direct gas-fired tumble dryers, B22D and B23D, with nominal heat input of not more than 6 kW. Catalytic combustion appliances; those designed for industrial use; condensing type appliances where heated air and products of combustion employed for drying are dehumidified by cooling with air or water; appliances for locations where special conditions are predominant, for instance a corrosive or explosive atmosphere; and those appliances used on board ship, aircraft or in vehicles, are not covered. Deals with type testing only.
