This part of JIS R 1703 specifies the measurement method of water contact angle among indexes which affect the self-cleaning performance of flat-plate shaped photocatalytic materials. This part of JIS R 1703 does not apply to the permeable materials in which water seeps and cannot remain, the uneven surface materials in which waterdrops hide and the photocatalytic materials of visible light response type.
