Method of copper sulfate-sulfuric acid test for stainless steels

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies a method for the evaluation of the susceptibility of ferritic, austenitic and ferritic-austenitic (duplex) stainless steels to intergranular corrosion by immersing the test piece in a boiling copper sulfate-sulfuric acid solution and by subsequent examination of cracks produced by bend test.
