This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies three wires and four wires for screw thread measuring which consist of a set of three and four wires respectively, intending to be used for measuring the pitch diameter of thread plug gauges defined in JIS B 0251, JIS B 0253, JIS B 0254 or JIS B 0255 and others equivalent thereto.
