Annex A (informative) Precision

Specifies two methods for the determination of free and released formaldehyde in leathers. One method (Section 5) is relatively simple with regard to the laboratory equipment (colourimetric method), while the other (Section 4) needs more sophisticated equipment (HPLC method). The second method is selective and not sensitive to coloured extracts.
