International Standard ISO/IEC 11801 specifies generic cabling for use within commercial premises which may comprise single buildings or multiple buildings (on a campus). The Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3080 incorporates ISO/IEC 11801, with amendments where appropriate. The AUSTEL TS 009 or its replacement defines the wiring rules for customer premises cabling locations, equipment and hazards. This Handbook provides cablers with a field' document to allow them to cable premises for voice, data, image, video, and similar, guiding them through appropriate standard requirements with cross references to the actual Standards, should that become necessary for clarification.
