This standard is included in DIN Handbook 215, 277 and DIN DVS Handbook 191, 215, 283, 312, 312/1 and 393. Defines requirements for approval of welding operators for fusion welding and resistance weld setters for fully mechanized and automatic welding processes of metallic materials. Applies only to welding operators/resistance weld setters responsible for setting and/or adjusting during welding. Applies when the contract or application standard requires approval testing of operators/resistors. Not applicable to welding operators in resistance welding or under hyperbaric conditions.
