This part 1 of prEN 33/WI131 specifies the performance requirements and method for the assessment of the properties of all forms of gaskets and weatherstripping both for glazing and for draft and weather sealing purposes. The relevant requirements are applicable to gaskets and weatherstripping of all materials. This European Standard is not applicable to sealants, mastics or putties or any such materials which are extruded in liquid or viscous form into the final place of use.
