Gives the design, performance requirements, quality assurance requirements and test procedures for expandable sleeves suitable for binding and identification purposes on electrical cables and insulated equipment wires in aircraft. Specifies temperature against time conditions. Deals with sleeves made from polychloroprene rubber, mixture or copolymer of butadiene acrylonitrile rubber and polyvinyl chloride, fluorinated silicone rubber or modified fluorinated silicone rubber, and silicone rubber. Includes packaging and identification, storage recommendations, and ordering procedures. Illustrates typical arrangement of characters and test apparatus for flammability test.
