1.1This specification covers the requirements and methods for establishing the suitability of a material for use as an air-entraining addition to be interground with the clinker in the manufacture of air-entraining hydraulic cement conforming to Specifications C150/C150M, C595/C595M, and C1157/C1157M.

1.2The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard.

1.3This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. (Warning—Fresh hydraulic cementitious mixtures are caustic and may cause chemical burns to skin and tissue upon prolonged exposure.2)
