Gives the results of two studies commissioned by API. The purpose of Phase I was to review and assess the validity of the methodology proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for estimating toxic species emissions from storage tanks. The purpose of Phase II was to investigate the validity of assuming ideal liquid behavior (Raoults Law) in predicting hazardous air pollutant emissions from petroleum storage tanks.
