Identifies ergonomics data and their use in identifying temperature limit values for hot surfaces and in assessing risks of burning. Applies within the field of application of EN 292 to hot surfaces of machinery that are or can be touched during usage. Supplies data regarding circumstances under which contact between hot surface and bare skin could lead to burns. Data may be used in development of standards for particular machinery where as a result of a risk assessment temperature limits are needed. Data for protection against pain are not covered.
