La norma prescrive le procedure per eseguire in opera l'analisi dei prodotti della combustione e la misurazione del rendimento di combustione dei generatori di calore. Essa si applica a tutti i generatori di calore alimentati a combustibile gassoso e/o liquido,destinati al riscaldamento degli ambienti e/o alla produzione di acqua calda sanitaria. La norma non si applica agli impianti inseriti in cicli di processo e ai generatori di calore alimentati a combustibile solido.
