Contains Bellcore's preliminary view of proposed generic requirements for an AIN Release 1 Switching System, which is a switching system supporting AIN Switch Capabilities functionality. The ASC functionality enables the AIN Release 1 Switching System to recognize calls requiring AIN Release 1 service-logic involvement and, in those cases, to initiate a dialogue with an AIN Release 1 system in which the logic for the requested service resides. An AIN Release Switching System can also perform processing based on information from the AIN Release 1 service logic to create a new call, e.g., to monitor the status of a line.
