This European Standard specifies the Risk Based Inspection Framework (RBIF) and contains guidance on Risk Based Inspection and Maintenance (RBIM) in the hydrocarbon industry, chemical process industry, power generation and other industries where risk based inspection (RBI) is applicable. Although RBIF covers both inspection and maintenance, this document focuses primarily on risk based inspection (RBI) and its applicability in the context of RBIM.
