Die Anforderungen, Masse und Toleranzen für geschmiedete und gewalzte Vollräder aus vakuumentgastem Stahl mit einer Laufkranzvergütung sind festgelegt. Die Anforderungen werden jeweils für die Kategorien 1 und 2 angegeben, wobei die Kategorie 1 für Züge mit Geschwindigkeiten über 200 km/h gilt.
