Defines a procedure for absolute and direct measuring of the average high voltage of constant potential (DC) X-ray systems on the secondary side of the high voltage generator. With the aim of checking the correspondence with the indicated high voltage value on the X-ray system's control unit. The procedure is used to ensure a reproducible operation of X-ray systems as the voltage particularly influences penetration of materials and contrast of X-ray images, as well as criteria regarding radiation protection.
